International School of Billund is an authorised IB World School for both the Primary and Middle Years Programmes.
The IB learner profile represent the IB mission statement in action: To develop internationally minded people who, recognizing our common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better, more peaceful world. IB learners are: inquirers, thinkers, risk-takers, knowledgeable, caring, communicators, balanced, open-minded, principled and reflective. We value and use the IB learner profile actively every day and have added our own attribute: playful.
From 2015-2024, ISB collaborated with Project Zero from Harvard Graduate School of Education and the LEGO Foundation on developing a Pedagogy of Play, and we are continuing the work every day. ISB’s facilities are light, open, and inviting, and include classrooms, subject rooms (music, wood shop, art, drama, media, design), canteen, sports hall as well as a Grand Hall that fits all students and staff. In 2025 we opened the new main entrance, and 7.000extra square meters were added to the school. The outdoor sports facilities were also renewed in 2025, creating the best possibilities for outdoor PE lessons.
