The school is situated in central Copenhagen next to Østerport train- and metro station.

The mission of the school is to ensure that each child has access to an academically challenging, liberal arts education, which is composed of an ambitious and caring school environment that is grounded in professionalism, solidarity and Catholic-humanistic ideals.

With the creation of a new Bilingual Department in 2014, Institut Sankt Joseph has designed programs that provide families with the academic quality of Cambridge International Examinations as well as Danish curriculums and activities with their Danish peers ensuring native speaking level of Danish and authentic integration into Danish society.

Institut Sankt Joseph is thus a vibrant and unique international environment. Students represent many countries, languages, religions and nationalities worldwide while being anchored in a Danish way of life.
