European School Copenhagen is an accredited school under the internationally recognized system of European Schools. ESCPH provides a unique, multilingual education for 900 students from ages 6 to 18, welcoming them into the school’s Nursery class (Børnehaveklasse). Students graduate from the Upper Secondary with the European Baccalaureate diploma, which is equivalent to the Danish Studentereksamen.

The school is located in new and modern buildings in the heart of Carlsberg Byen – easily accessible by the Greater Copenhagen area. Tuition is free, and the school operates under the municipality of Copenhagen, making it an accessible option for education for many families.

The school offers three language sections: Danish, French, and English. In these sections, students are taught most of their classes in their first language (L1) — the language of the section they attend. In Primary 1 (P1), students select their first foreign language (L2), and in Secondary 1 (S1), they choose a second foreign language (L3). From Secondary 3 (S3) until the completion of Secondary 7 (S7), students are taught subjects such as Human Science, History, and Geography in their first foreign language, enhancing their multilingual proficiency.

European School Copenhagen focuses on fostering the values of Respect, Commitment, Collaboration, Responsibility, Curiosity, and Empathy. The school prides itself on its international learning environment and community, with students, teachers, and parents from all over the world.
